Congratulations are in order as Chad Neisel eclipsed the 1,000 career point mark last night in leading Sandy Valley past East Canton 58-46 in an IVC contest. Chad finished the night as the Cardinals leading scorer tallying 19 points in the victory. Congratulations Chad!
Chad Neisel, Sandy Valley senior, accomplished this huge goal in front of a home crowd against East Canton on December 30th, 2016. Neisel, varsity basketball player and captain, reached the mark of 1000 career points. This hasn’t happened at SV since Jordan Tozzi in 2009.
“It made me feel great because it has been one of my goals since I was in seventh grade,” said Neisel of his achievement. Neisel, who has been a leader on the team for the past four years, credits his teammates and coaching staff for the unyielding support on and off the court. “We are a strong team. We get along, we work hard and we have fun,” said Neisel.
“Chad has been our go-to guy. He has good hands, good feet and, most importantly, he is a quality kid,” stated Gary Offenberger, Sandy Valley’s varsity basketball coach. “Chad is a big part of our success.”
Standing at a tall 6’3, Neisel has played basketball since he can remember. “My family and friends have always come to my games and watched me play. I want to thank them for helping me reach this goal.”
Come out and support the Cardinals this season!
