Brian Gamble Named East District Division 3 Coach of the Year.
Brian Gamble is no stranger to baseball and this year he was named the East District Division 3 Coach of the Year. Gamble has lead the Sandy Valley Cardinals to the District Semi-Finals.
Gamble has been the head baseball coach at SV for nine years. He credits his success this season on his coaching staff and the team. “I have the best coaching staff in Northeast Ohio,” said Gamble. His staff includes Brady Kail, Brian Reidenbach, Andrew Rasicci, Don Thorley, Greg Travis and Frank Cilona.
“The strength of our team is selflessness. It is a total team effort,” Gamble said, “We are lucky to have good young men that will make an impact in our community one day.” The team includes six seniors and Gamble states that their leadership, combined with hard work year round, has helped the team become stronger on and off the playing field. “I am very proud of our team’s accomplishments and their hard work and dedication in our off-season program,” states Gamble, “The work is year-round with lifting, throwing programs, open hitting and playing summer baseball.”
For Gamble and the Cardinals, all of the extra work has certainly paid off. “We work as a team. It is a year round process that gives our players an opportunity to compete at a high level each and every year,” said Gamble.
