Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Philo Electrics

Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity defeated Philo Electrics 5-1 thanks to a strong start. Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity took the lead on a single in the first inning.

Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity took an early lead in the first inning. With two outs in the first inning Arianna Ott drove in one run when she singled.

Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity scored three runs in the fourth inning. Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity’s big inning was driven by a double by Kayla Campbell, a triple by Alex Howell, and a single by Montana Boyer.

Makayla Loveless earned the win for Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity. She threw seven innings, surrendering one run, eight hits, and striking out two. Tupuola took the loss for Philo Electrics. She tossed three and a third innings, allowing four runs, five hits, striking out two, and walking zero.

Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity had eight hits in the game. Loveless and Ott each collected multiple hits for Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity. Campbell, Boyer, Mandi Williams, Howell, and Ott each drove in one run to lead Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity. Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Campbell had the most chances in the field with ten.

Fuller led Philo Electrics with two hits in four at bats.

Game Recap

The Varsity won the Sectional Championship last night over visiting Harrison Central 2-1. Nelson Mozden pitched a complete game with 3 strikeouts. The Cardinals won in walk-off fashion as they were losing going into the bottom of the 7th. Austin Dierick led off with a single followed by a walk by Jake Walker and a HUGE game tying single by Xavier Sarver tying the game at 1-1. A pass ball by their catcher allowed Jake Walker in slide in safely and sending the Cardinals to the district semi-finals vs Edison on Monday 5/15 at 5pm at a neutral site yet to be determined. Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Tusky Valley Trojans
Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity jumped out to an early lead over Tusky Valley Trojans and took home a 12-5 victory on Monday. Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity scored on a single by Kayla Campbell, a walk by Montana Boyer, a groundout by Alyssa Sines, a wild pitch , a single by Makayla Loveless, and a single by Arianna Ott in the second inning.
Tusky Valley Trojans scored four runs in the fifth inning, but Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Tusky Valley Trojans came thanks to a fielder’s choice by Megan Stotzer, a single by Paige Levengood, and a double by Maddie Maurer.
Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity captured the lead in the second inning. Kayla Campbell drove in one when she singled in the second inning.
Tusky Valley Trojans scored four runs in the fifth inning. Tusky Valley Trojans’s big inning was driven by a fielder’s choice by Stotzer, a single by Levengood, and a double by Maurer.
Arianna Ott earned the win for Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity. She went seven innings, surrendering five runs, eight hits, striking out ten, and walking zero. Rich took the loss for Tusky Valley Trojans. She tossed six innings, surrendering 12 runs, 17 hits, and striking out three.
Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity collected 17 hits. Campbell, Makayla Loveless, Ott, Meggie Otte, and Mandi Williams each collected multiple hits for Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity. Ott went 3-for-4 at the plate as she led the team with four runs batted in.
Maurer led Tusky Valley Trojans with two runs batted in. She went 1-for-3 on the day.

The NFL Draft took place last week in Philadelphia. Held on the Rocky Steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, it was the first draft held entirely outdoors, and was the most attended in history with more than 250,000 people attending. Over three days, all 32 NFL teams chose players who they hope could be the future of their franchise.

Otte Strong At The Plate As Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity Defeats Ridgewood Generals

Four hits from Meggie Otte helped lead Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity past Ridgewood Generals 10-1 on Wednesday. Otte singled in the second, singled in the fourth, singled in the sixth, and singled in the seventh.

An early lead helped propel Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity to victory. Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity scored on a single by Alyssa Sines and a single by Meggie Otte in the second inning.

Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity captured the lead in the second inning. Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity scored one run when Sines singled with two outs in the second inning.

Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity scored five runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to a stolen base , a single by Arianna Ott, a single by Kayla Campbell, a single by Alex Howell, and a groundout by Montana Boyer.

Ott earned the win for Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity. She threw seven innings, surrendering one run, three hits, and walking zero. S Zinkon took the loss for Ridgewood Generals. She tossed four innings, allowing five runs, 12 hits, and walking zero.

Game Recap

The Varsity Baseball team beat Ridgewood 12-1 in 5 innings last night. The Cardinals offense exploded for 16 hits. The offense was led by Micheal Roberts going 4-5 with a triple, double and 2 singles. Nelson Mozden had 3 hits and Xavier Sarver had two hits including a 3 run Home Run. Mozden got the win on the mound striking out 3. Cameron Woods came in the bottom of the 5th to close the game out. The Varsity is now 15-8 overall and 11-4 in the IVC. SV is back in action Friday as they travel to Carrollton and the JV’s host Carrollton. 1st pitch is at 5pm. Come and Support your Cardinals
