The Cardinals pulled out a great win against Carrollton last night away from home in a hostile environment. The match was characterized by tough tackles and a frantic pace that only intensified over the 80 minutes. Jamon McCort opened the scoring in the first 7 minutes of the game after some nice combination play at the top of the Carrollton box before he tucked it away neatly into the bottom corner. The Cardinals went into the half on a high but were a little slow coming out and were punished by a quick goal by Carrollton. The game continued to get stretched as the second half went on until Jamon McCort found Brayden Ashton running in behind the Carrollton defense and finished the chance with great composure. Carrollton piled on the pressure as the clock ticked down and the Cardinals showed great mental fortitude to see out the game and earn themselves a great away win.
The Cardinals continue their run of away games against Tuslaw next Wednesday.
