The Cardinals suffered their first home loss of the season last night as they fell to the Trojans. The stifling heat and field conditions made for a scrappy game that saw hard tackles from both teams. The Trojans took the lead in the game before Jamon McCort’s fantastic individual run ended in an equalizing goal for the men in red. The first half was tightly contested, but three quick goals from the Trojans saw them take a comfortable three goal lead into the half time break. The Cardinals pushed hard in the second half of the game and were rewarded for their efforts with a goal in the sixty-fifth minute by Kanyon McCort. The Cardinals mounted one final assault on the Trojan goal but could not beat the clock and the final whistle. Caleb Everetts recorded ten saves in the game.
The Cardinals face off against Edison this Saturday at 1pm.
