The Cardinals got off to a solid start to the season this past Friday with a 3-3 away draw with the Harrison Central Huskies. It was a hard fought game that saw plenty of full blooded tackles and cards for both teams. The teams were tied at the half with goals from Kanyon and Jamon McCort. The Huskies scored an early second half goal and took control of the game with their direct play and physicality. However, a good offensive move was finished well by the Cardinals number 10 Jamon McCort to set the stage for a intense last 15 minutes to the game. The Cardinals managed to hold onto the lead with 10 men on the field to get their first point of the season. There were assists from Marcus Sikon and Brayden Ashton. Ashton and Costello also recorded shots on target and Caleb Everetts made 6 saves on the night.
The Cardinals continue their season against Washington-Massillon away this Tuesday at 5pm.
