The Cardinals got back to winning ways yesterday as they started off a busy week of tough fixtures. The boys traveled to Kingsway Christian and had to fight against a tough and physical Kingsway team. Although the Cardinals enjoyed the majority of possession in the first half it was Kingsway that struck the first blow with a break away goal that caught the Cardinal back line off guard. This seemed to shock the men in white into action and they immediately responded with three goals of their own. Two goals from Jamon McCort and a goal from Brayden Ashton meant that the Cardinals took a strong lead into the half-time break. The Cardinals came out with a different attitude in the second half and raced to a six goal lead with two goals from Kanyon McCort and another goal from Brayden Ashton. The Eagles mounted a late flurry of goals to push the Cardinals right to the end, before Bryce Stenger rounded off the scoring for the Cardinals in the seventy-eighth minute.
The Cardinals play at home against Tusky Valley tomorrow at 5. Come out and support the team!
