The Cardinals pulled off a great result this past weekend in a very hostile environment. The men in red started the match off well, playing a team-centric game that was lead by strong passing through the middle of the pitch. In the first-half a through ball played to forward Bryce Stenger resulted in a foul inside the box. Senior Jamon McCort converted the spot kick and opened the scoring for the Cardinals. The Redskins struck back quickly though and tied the game 1-1 going into the half. Coming out of the break the Cardinals found themselves in a hole as the Redskins scored quickly to take the 2-1 lead. The Cardinals fought their way back as kanyon McCort connected with his brother Jamon McCort on a series of passes leading to a Jamon McCort goal, tying the game at 2-2. As time ticked down Bryce Stengar drew another penalty that Jamon McCort was able to capitalize on, giving the Cardinals the late 3-2 lead. The Redskins climbed back in the final minutes scoring another goal to tie it up late. The game ended in a 3-3 draw. The Cardinals next game will be against the Massillon Tigers at home on Tuesday, October 2nd.
