4-Hit Day For Sickafoose Earns Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity Victory Over Fairfield Lions

Tori Sickafoose did the opposing team no favors on Friday, picking up four hits over five at bats and leading Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity to a 16-4 win over Fairfield Lions. Sickafoose tripled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fourth, and doubled in the sixth.

Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity earned the victory despite allowing Fairfield Lions to score three runs in the second inning. Gragg, Fox, and Spargur all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity got on the board in the first inning. Sickafoose tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the second inning, Fairfield Lions tied things up at three. Fairfield Lions scored one run when Spargur singled.

Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity notched ten runs in the sixth inning. Sickafoose, Mandi Williams, Arianna Ott, Woodin, Carrigan Pahanish, and Meggie Otte powered the big inning with RBIs.

Ott pitched Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity to victory. She allowed seven hits and four runs over six innings, striking out three.

White took the loss for Fairfield Lions. She lasted five innings, allowing 17 hits and 14 runs while striking out four and walking one.

Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity tallied 20 hits in the game. Otte, Sickafoose, Brooke McCoy, Ott, Pahanish, and Williams each had multiple hits for Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity. Sickafoose and Otte each collected four hits to lead Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity.
