Two Pitchers Team Up As Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity Defeats Newcomerstown In Shut-Out

Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity defeated Newcomerstown 14-0 on Wednesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Meggie Otte struck out #10 to finish off the game.

Montana Boyer led Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity to victory by driving in four runs. She went 3-for-3 at the plate. Boyer drove in runs on a double in the third and a double in the fourth.

Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity got things moving in the first inning, when Tori Sickafoose’s sac fly scored one run for Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity.
Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity put up eight runs in the fourth inning. Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity batters contributing to the big inning included Kirston Moriconi, Boyer, Otte, Sickafoose, and Mandi Williams, all driving in runs in the frame.
