On a cold Tuesday night, the Lady Cardinals travelled to Tusky Valley to complete in a tri-meet along with Hiland. The Girls battled the wind and cold to place second earning 46 points as a team. Individuals scoring for the Cardinals were: Alaina Heller(Fr.) placing 1st in the 300 m hurdles, 4th in the long jump and 3rd in the 100 m dash, Laylah Hoover (So.) placing 2nd in the 200 m dash and 4th in the 100 m dash, Krista Glaser (So.) placing 4th in the 1600 m run, Deana Petersen (So.) placing 2nd in the 3200 m run and 3rd in the 1600 m run, Hannah Petersen (Sr.) placing 2nd in the 400 m dash, Zoe Ward (Fr.) placing 4th in the 400 m dash, Kaydence Hoover (Fr.) placing 2nd in the 800 m run, Demi Faiello (Fr.) placing 4th in the 200 m dash, Abbey Parker (Jr.) placing 2nd in the shotput, Jillian Bonner (So.) placing 3rd in the high jump, Julie Muller (Sr.) placing 4th in the high jump, and Lexi Tucci (Fr.) placing 1st in the high jump and 2nd in long jump. The Cardinals also had two relay teams earn second place last night: the 4 x 100 m relay team of Emma Mace (So.), Elaina White (So.), Laylah Hoover (So.), and Jillian Bonner (So.) and the 4 x 400 m relay team of Lexi Tucci (Fr.), Alaina Heller (Fr.), Kaydence Hoover (Fr.), and Hannah Petersen (Sr.). Way to battle, Cardinals! The track program is back in action on Saturday at the Stark County Championships hosted at Perry High School.
