Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity took the lead late in the game in a 7-5 victory over Garaway Pirates on Friday. The game was tied at five with Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity batting in the top of the sixth when Tori Sickafoose’s sac fly scored one run for Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity.
Sandy Valley Cardinals Varsity earned the victory despite allowing Garaway Pirates to score three runs in the fifth inning. Chelsi Rothacher, Cassy Donaldson, and Sarah Billman powered the big inning with RBIs.
